Potential impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on HIV and HCV risk among PWID
Potential changes in injection behaviors and limited availability of harm reduction services due to the COVID-19 pandemic are likely to have impacted HIV and HCV infection among persons who inject drugs (PWID). This project aims to understand COVID-19-relatedchanges in the health risks of PWID. Multi-level impacts on PWID health will be considered, such as housing instability, access to syringe services programs (SSPs), sharing behaviors, and HIV/HCV testing behaviors.
