Continuing Medical Education

As the need grows to maximize health impact with limited resources, modeling has become more important as a public health tool. The Coalition for Applied Modeling for Prevention (CAMP) is dedicated to improving public health decision-making through using statistical, epidemic simulation, and economic models to uncover new disease patterns and inform prevention policies in five areas: HIV, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, tuberculosis, and school/adolescent health.

Some CAMP models also inform clinical care and preventive services. CAMP is providing these continuing education credit opportunities free of charge, in support of evidence-based public health and clinical practices.

To receive continuing education credit:

  1. Complete the activity
  2. Pass the post-activity quiz
  3. Complete the evaluation
  4. Print or save documentation of continuing education credit

Sexual Behavior Trends and STI Outcomes Among Individuals Aged 15-44 Reporting Opposite-Sex Partners

This CME activity involves reading a CAMP publication followed by a quiz. Note: This is an Open Access publication. This research examines potential changes in sexual behaviors, sexual network attributes, and sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening that may be contributing to increased reported rates of gonorrhea and chlamydial infections in the USA across age and race/ethnicity.
